Frontend (Tracking)
MonsterInsights supports all browsers that Google Analytics supports and we make extensive use of polyfills and automated testing to ensure compatibility.
We support nearly all releases of any major browser, including Internet Explorer back to IE 6.0 to allow your site to track as many users as possible.
Backend (Admin Area)
MonsterInsights has an established set of guidelines for browser support that allows us to use progressive web technologies to deliver a superior experience, and allow us to focus on iterating and delivering new features quickly, efficiently, and as close to bug-free as possible to the widest size of our MonsterInsights user-base. Based on our opt-in tracking, as well as sourced numbers from a variety of sources for browser usage globally, we’ve adopted the following supported browsers policy based on the browsers WordPress itself supports:
Officially Supported Browsers for MonsterInsights’s Admin Area (all features expected to look as great as they perform):
Desktop Browsers:
- Google Chrome: Latest 2 versions
- Mozilla FireFox: Latest 2 versions
- Apple Safari: Latest 2 versions
- Microsoft Edge: Latest 2 versions
- Microsoft Internet Explorer: version 11
- Opera: Latest 2 versions
Mobile Browsers:
- Android: latest 2 versions of Chrome for the most recent stock Android version
- iOS: latest 2 versions of Safari and latest 2 versions of Chrome for the most recent iOS version
Additional Browsers:

Best Effort Supported Browsers for MonsterInsights’s Admin Area (a few features might be unavailable or look slightly off, but for the most part everything will work):
- Microsoft Internet Explorer: version 10 (active support ends April, 2019)
- UC Browser for Android: latest version
