MonsterInsights 9.1: New Summary Report, Ads Tracking Upgrade + More

MonsterInsights 9.1: New Summary Report + Ads Tracking Upgrade

Welcome to MonsterInsights 9.1, the newest version of your favorite Google Analytics plugin!

We packed multiple exciting upgrades into this newest release. The first thing you’ll notice is a brand new overview report section in your Reports dashboard that provides a quick glance at some of your top stats, such as your top post, all-time traffic, most popular times, and more. Quickly check those top stats to monitor your site’s growth!

The second update is all about improving the way our PPC ads tracking addon tracks conversions for both Meta (Facebook) and Google Ads. Easily track those conversions so you know exactly where they’re coming from.

Let’s take a closer look at both of these new features.

New Dashboard Report Section: Stats at a Glance

When you open up your WordPress dashboard reports, the first thing you see is your Overview report. It’s full of some really useful and important stats like your overall traffic and pageviews, average session duration, new vs. returning visitors, and more.

While it’s a great, comprehensive report, we decided to add more stats to it to make it even better. Meet the new Stats at a Glance section!

MonsterInsights Stats at a Glance report

The new report block includes:

  • All Time Stats
  • Most Popular Times
  • Most Popular Categories (Plus users)
  • Most Popular Page
  • Most Popular Post
  • Most Popular Products (Pro users)

Use the new report section to get a quick look at when you might want to publish a post, see which post is trending, decide what product to feature in your next social media post, and much more.

We hope you love the new report!

Meta Ads + Google Ads Tracking Upgrades

One of our most requested features this quarter was to use Meta’s Conversions API in our PPC Ads Tracking addon. So, we’ve made that upgrade in MonsterInsights 9.1.

Now, installing your Meta pixel is not only super convenient, but the conversion tracking for your Meta Ads that comes along with it also uses the latest tracking technology. According to Meta, “Advertisers that set up the Conversions API with the pixel experienced on average a 13% cost per result improvement.”

That’s a huge and important reason to use the Conversions API!

Google Ads users, we’ve got a big behind-the-scenes improvement for you, too. Our PPC Ads Tracking addon now uses Google’s enhanced conversions feature. According to Google, “Enhanced conversions is a feature that can improve the accuracy of your conversion measurement and unlock more powerful bidding. It supplements your existing conversion tags by sending hashed first party conversion data from your website to Google in a privacy safe way.”

So, tracking your PPC ad conversions from both Meta and Google is now more accurate and powerful.

That’s it for this release!

To start using these new features today, make sure to update your MonsterInsights plugin to the latest version (9.1).
